UN Women Development of a Training Packeg

Kazi Md. Adul Kalam Azad, E.D AWARD participated in the two days workshop on UN Women Development and Training Package on Gender and Preventing Violent Extremism, 09-10 May 2018, Bangladesh.

Hosted by BNPS at hotel bangle blueberry, Gulshan, Dhaka. The Validation workshop sessions facilitated by the University of Queensland, facilitator Prof. Simon Bronitt. Co-facilitator Dr. Sarah Teitt. Course Coordinator Md. Badrul Alam.

The validation workshop inaugurated through a welcome speech by Shoka Ishikawa, Country Representative, UN Women Bangladesh.  Through the two days, discussion of the 25 participants of the workshop validated 6 number of training package module on prevention violence of Extremism. The University of Queensland through UQ International Development has been awarded a contract to develop a training package on Gender and Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) for UN Women. This training package has been designed with a series of training moduls for use by women’s organizations and CSO’s in Indonesia and Bangladesh in order to enhance their understanding of PVE.
